It's Rose, cuter than God himself!

Friday, September 12, 2008

Well, its been a while.....a long while.....really...long...while. But this is a new post, this post you're ready, its new! It even has new pictures, they're down there somewhere and I'm pretty sure they they're cute and all!

A lot has been going on lately, which is mostly the reason behind the post. Its pretty much this, her implant will cost 20 thousand-ish over the next five years and its vital for her development that these costs are met. Usually the government would cover these costs because Rose is a citizen, but since the implant was done in the US, she gets nothing. Obviously this is a silly law and we're helping to change it. There have been paper articles and she will most likely be on national tv next week. We're making progress and Rose is the face of the campaign The Hearing House is waging. The human rights commission is involved and we are committed to changing this law.

Anyways, pics.

This is Monty, he is large.

That doesn't bother Rose though, she loves him anyways.

This was a day at the pool with a friend, Rose loves water now, who would have figured!

Hello again,

Well , I have a while to post some photos tonight so I'll just get right to it.

Photobucket
The Easter Bunny hopped on by and left rose some fashion tips.
Easter was lovely, although Easter in the Autumn was a bit confusing. It was fun to experience new customs and stuff, plus, the chocolate is better quality! That's what really matters.

Photobucket
Don't you just hate it when you go to a lot of trouble to look your very best, and then your makeup runs?

Photobucket
Look! The world's smallest swimming pool!

Photobucket
Eeeep!! What filthy, gross monster has invaded our home?

I'd like you to meet some of my new friends. This is Teddy. I met him at the Teddy Bear's picnic. I love him and I just couldn't stop hugging him.

Photobucket
This is Auntie Hayley. She's awesome and pretty and she spoils me. She dances with me. She's lots of fun!

Photobucket
This is my soon to be Uncle Cow (also known as Matthew). He's so much fun I think I'll keep him.

Photobucket
This is my buddy, Max. We have a heap of fun together. He is willing to play games with me. Here, we are playing the "try on every shoe you can" game.

Photobucket
These are my friends, the chickens and the confused ducks. Their swimming pool might actually be smaller than mine, but the deep end is crowded and the water isn't very clean.

Photobucket
And last but not least, meet Pee Wee. We like just hangin'. We like a lot of the same things. Snacks. Cat teasing. Naps. Car rides. It's all good.

Well, I hope you enjoyed todays pics. I'll see you soon.
Love to all,
Rose

Hey all, Ben here. Its been aweek and a half. We're settling in nicely thanks to mum and really starting to enjoy this lovely place. So I thought I'd share a few little bits of what we're looking at.

Walking distance from us is lake Rotorua, one of *many* lakes round us. Here are a few pics. The links below are to bigger copies.

We've been seeing a New Zealand native bird all over the place, and we love it. Here is an ad showing one.

Pukeko

And this one cause its cute.

Cute!

We've been eatting good kiwi food, pies, fish'n'chips, all the good stuff. I missed it so much, and now its back I can't get enough.

On a side note, its our anniversery today, weee, three years down!(kidding)

Hi! Did you think we'd never post again? Well, you were wrong. It just took a long while, but in the meantime, we have moved all the way across the planet! Yep, we live in New Zealand now.

I can't get over our yard. It's so green and lush. Grandma Jen keeps saying that it's nothing, but that's because she never lived in the desert.

Let's take a look, shall we?

Photobucket
Rose will host our tour, but she's going to have to loose the gumboots first, 'cause she can't move.

Photobucket
This is Grandma's house, and my kooky Grandma. This is where we are staying.

Photobucket
THis is the gate that was built just for me. It goes into the backyard which is in many levels, because we live on a hill.

Photobucket
This is level one.

Photobucket
Level one has this grapefruit tree and an orange tree right next to it.

Photobucket
This is level two. It has a nice big pumpkin growing in it.

Photobucket
These are the stairs to level three. Look at all the sweetpeas!

Photobucket
And this is level three. Mom has to get used to hanging the laundry on the line most of the time! I'll help her, though.

Photobucket
These steps lead to the vegetable garden.

Photobucket
THis is my special place. It's like a fairyland.

Photobucket
And even more. Check out the bamboo! Mom loves it.

Photobucket
These are the branches that my swing will be hanging from very soon.

Photobucket
This is our LONG driveway.

Photobucket
I'm tired and ready to go in now. Thanks for visiting!

Photobucket
See you soon. Next time maybe I'll show you the cows that live next door. Bye.

[EDIT]There was a problem with one of the pics, hold shift and press F5 if one of them looks to big.[EDIT]

Hello all, Ben here. I've decided to name this post "Welcome to the terrible twos" OR "You can't make me" OR "Maybe I like screaming and kicking on the ground".

Rose is currently having a tantrum because I won't give her another Jelly Bean. She won't eat or drink anything else this morning. Before that it was because I wouldn't let her have the mouse, before because I wouldn't let her climb the walls via a computer monitor. Before that it was because she wanted cat food.

Okay now she is just walking the halls screaming for no reason. As long as she stays over there though...I think she wants to turn the bathroom light on and off, hmm.

A package came today from New Zealand, it has teletubbies on it. I hope there isn't anything fragile in there because she spent 15 minutes laying on top of it, scratching the tubbie stickers. Thank god for small favors, or in this case, thank grandmothers.

The Rose chrissy shopping is done, pretty happy with the gifts we got her and I know she is gonna love...laying on top of them and picking at the tape. Naw she will love them, they are pretty neat.

Rose takes baths now! In fact she screams when she has to get out. We currently put her in a blue tub in the living room so she can watch TV. She sits there and splashes, so maybe we've seen the last of the water phobia. Is that an H2Obia? .....ugh, lame.

Anyways, pics here.
